Instructions on Submitting
LOGRUN Queries

To send a query to LOGRUN
- Select the type of query you wish to submit.
- CAGE/Part Number (CPN)
- CAGE Query (CAGE)
- Item Name Description (IN)
- Item Name Code (INC)
- National Item Identification Number (NIIN)
- Part Number (PN)
- When necessary, select the type of Output Code
for the type of report you wish to receive. The default is Basic Reference. If you want to
change the output code, click on the 'Output' list box and select one of the following:
- Basic Reference Data
- CAGE/Supplier Data
- Coded Characteristics
- Decoded Characteristics
- Freight Data
- I & S Data
- Identification Data
- Management Data
- MOE Rule Data Coded
- MOE Rule Data Decoded
- Packaging Data
- Ref/Part Number
- Requisition Data
- Standardization Data
- Enter the query data.
- CAGE/Part Number (CPN) - enter 5 position CAGE and 1-32
position part number.
- CAGE code (CAGE) - enter 5 digit CAGE code.
- Item Name Description (IN) - enter 3-19 position Item Name
Description.
- Item Name Code (INC) - enter 5 position Item Name Code.
- National Item Identification Number (NIIN) - enter the 9
position NIIN.
- Part Number (PN) - enter 1-32 position part number.
- You can enter many queries at one time. After
entering your first query, click on the 'Next' button. This will clear the input field for
you to enter your next query. Repeat this procedure until you have entered all your
queries. You can review your queries by using the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons. You can
also go to a specific query by entering the query number in the 'Go to Record #' field and
clicking on the button. You can delete individual queries by using the 'Delete Items'
button. You can delete all your queries with the 'Delete All Items' button.
- Submit the query or queries by clicking
on the 'Submit' button. At this point, WebLINK will forward your query or queries for
processing.
Getting Your Responses
- To get responses to your queries, click on the 'Responses'
button. WebLINK will check to see if responses to your queries have processed. If there
are responses, you will get a display that lists all of the databases. Next to each
database will be the number of responses you have received. If there is a number next to
LOGRUN, you have responses. Click on LOGRUN to get a listing of the response files. Click
on the response file to view your response.
- Use your web browser's 'Print' function
to print the response. Use your web browser's 'Save' function to save the
response. Please note that after viewing the response file, WebLINK will delete the file.
So, if you want to print or save the file, you must do so before moving onto the next
response file.
- Click on your web browser's 'Back' button
to continue viewing your responses.
- If you have not received all your responses, you can click
on the 'Responses' button. This will instruct WebLINK to check for new
responses.
- You may also receive responses via Email by clicking
the Email button. This will send your responses directly to your email address recorded in
your System Access Request (SAR). Response data in the e-mail message may not line up
properly, depending on the default type-style of your e-mail software. Should this happen,
highlight the entire response and change the font to Courier New and the columns should
align themselves properly.
Automatic Queries WebLINK can automatically send queries for you.
- Click on the 'Start' button to perform
Auto Query on the specified query.
- Choose the days of the week on which you
want queries processed. You do this by clicking the 'On' radial button. Make sure you
select the 'Off' radial button for the days you do not want queries processed.
- Specify the number of weeks you want the queries to
process. Click on the box under 'Weeks/Cycles' and type in the number of
weeks.
- Specify when you want your queries to process. Click on
the box under 'Hour' and enter a two-digit number from 00 to 23 (time is
in Greenwich Mean Time).
- Click on the 'Stop' button to stop a
previous Auto Query selection on the specified query.
- Click on the 'Stop all Previous LOGRUN Auto
Queries' to stop all previous Auto Query selections throughout the LOGRUN
database.
- Click on the 'Auto Query Off' button to
perform a query without any Auto Query functions.
