Understanding the Results of a DSS Query

DOCNO Document Number. A Document Number is similar in construction to or used in lieu of a MILSTRIP Document Number. There may be minor variations from the MILSTRIP Document Number format. Position 1-6 alpha/numeric, positions 7-10 numeric, Position 11-14 alpha/numeric.
QTY REQUESTED Quantity Requested. The original quantity for a Material Release Order (MRO).
QTY SHIPPED Quantity Shipped. Indicates the quantity of an item, either shipped or billed, which will be entered on a Report of Discrepancy.
QTY CANCELED Quantity Canceled. The amount of a given MRO quantity that DSS wants cancelled.
QTY DENIED Quantity Denied. If there is not sufficient stock to satisfy the MRO quantity, a portion of the stock may be denied. The Quantity Allocated and Quantity Denied must equal the MRO Quantity.
DATE RECEIVED Date Received. The date on which the document is received by the shipping depot.
DATE SHIPPED Date Shipped. The date, maintained in Issue History, when the Issue Request was shipped from the Storage Activity.
STATUS Status of the Request, SHIPPED, IN-PROCESS, CANCELLED or DENIED.
DEPOT/SHIPPER Depot/Shipper Address. The address used in NOA processing to identify the shipping depot.
SHIP TO Ship To Address. The address of the organization the item was shipped to, normally the DoDAAC.
MODE Mode of Shipment. Will be used to transport materiel such as Motor-Truckload, Surface, Parcel Post, etc. See Logistics Codes in the LINK Help Menu for a list of mode of shipment codes.
CARRIER Carrier Name. The clear text name of the common carrier.
TRACKNO Tracking Number. The carrier-assigned tracking number for the package.
TCN Transportation Control Number. Assigned by DSS to control Shipment Units within the Defense Transportation System.
B/L NUMBER Bill of Lading Number. A pre-assigned, serially generated number that identifies a shipment of freight being transported to a single destination. The number is also used in controlling stock and fixing accountability with the personnel responsible for the issuance and use of bills of lading.
SIGNATURE Signature. The signature of the person who signed for the item.
SIGN DATE Signature Date. The date the signatory signed for the item.
SIGN TIME Signature Time. The time the signatory signed for the item.
