Queries
The user may query all of the databases from one common interface without the concern of maintaining multiple accounts and passwords on several machines. In addition, the user does not have to navigate through each systems user interface, learn various command line parameters, and deal with slow screen response. Each query is entered on the screen at the user's personal computer and stored in a temporary file until "Submit" has been selected. The queries must be submitted prior to leaving the screen, otherwise, the data will be lost. When submit is selected, the queries will be sent to the LINK server. The transmitted queries will be queued and processed by the server. The server must queue queries for differing databases and attempts to give each client equal time against each database.
